We are delighted to announce a partnership agreement with MetaPack, a leading delivery management platform for local and global e-commerce operations. MetaPack’s award winning software is used by many major fulfilment houses to handle the distribution and management of online sales to 200 countries via 80 carriers for companies such as Tesco, B&Q, Halfords and M&S.
MACS Software has provided WMS solutions for over 21 years and has been involved in e-commerce right from the start. We have now developed an interface which allows the seamless transition of data between the MetaPack system and MACSwms to provide management information across multiple warehouses and carriers.
MACS’s Managing Director Tony Liddar said, “We are delighted to be working with a major delivery management platform such as MetaPack. Online retailing is expanding at a phenomenal rate and the systems that control the storage and distribution of goods need to stay one step ahead. Joining forces with MetaPack is a natural progression for us and we look forward to a long and successful relationship.”
Earlier this year, following a devastating earthquake and subsequent cholera outbreak, MACS sent in reinforcements to get the SCMS (a delivery partner for USAID) warehouse, which despatches vital antiviral drugs, back to full operational capacity.
We all celebrated MACS Software’s 21st birthday recently with a staff trip to the Sutton Elms Go-Karting circuit in Leicestershire in order to let off a little steam. Some of the team showed a natural aptitude for thrashing around a race track – a far cry from our day jobs designing software for some of the world’s leading corporations.
